Does the USB 3.0 port on the back of the WD My Cloud 2TB (WDBVXC0020HWT-NESN) allow for backing up folders on the NAS to a USB device? Or is it only for inputting data into the NAS?

Confusing. It only describes it as an input port for photos and such. But why have it if you can't back up the NAS? I would think that would be the first use someone would want for the port.
And besides that, there seems to be more than one model of the same My Cloud. I'm not sure I downloaded the correct manual.

OK. I think I found the answer from a user on another forum. An owner of said NAS says the USB port is only for input on that model. This post may be closed now. Thank you.
