[SOLVED] Question about connectivity of BenQ EX2510

I have bought it! It's a great deal, around USD250. Compared to my previous BenQ GW2270 which is only 22" and VA panel, EX2510 is bigger and the proximity is good considering I am just 1.5 ~2.0 ft away.

I ran Age of Empire II previously using MSI afterbuner reported 60FPS no matter what my card is. Now it gives me FPS 144.

I have questions

1. Should I use Display port cable? Becoz the box comes with only 1 HDMI cable. I am using AMD RX 570 4GB OC. AMD Radeon latest drivers notifies me that it is activated via the display port cable.
2. How do I check if FreeSync is active and running? For the HDMI cable I am using currently, would that cause FreeSync not activated ?

Freesync over Hdmi only works for Amd cards and you shouldn't notice any screen tearing between Freesync range 48~144Hz/fps.

Monitor supports Freesync over Hdmi.

Also check Freesync is enabled in the monitor menu.

You should check your new monitor Display port anyhow. So you should get a display port cable.

As to how to check freezing works or not, maybe OTHERS from this forum could help...
