I'm looking for PSU for my build to run two Radeon HD 6870, this setup requires 4x6pin pcie connectors. I found that there is not too many psu's with those connectors at my price range. Can i use Cable adapters or i need to buy psu with exact connectors?

p.s. sry my language.

What is your price range and where will you be shopping? What PSU are you currently using? Two HD 6870s in crossfire require a 650W PSU with 44A available on the 12V rails and (4) 6-pin 75W PCIe power connectors. The amps on the 12v rail is more important than watts.

Like Amuffin said, you can use molex to PCIe adapters and most mfrs package the adapters with their cards. You have to make sure that the PSU you are using has sufficient amps on the 12V rails....preferably a single 12V rail.

the thing is, i can afford only one 6870 now, after a year i'm thinking to get another one, so my 2nd question is: is it a good thought?

Future-proofing is good. When it comes to GPUs though, planning SLI/CF for a year down the road may not be a good idea. In a year, the prices on the HD7000 series and the new GTX600 series will drop due to
1. Price wars between AMD/nVidia.
2. Price wars between the GPU mfrs.
3. Price/performance reviews by sites like THG.
What I've always found is that a year later you get better performance for the same or less money by buying a newer single GPU.

Thanks for advice
