Question about CPU and motherboard combo

Will and AMD FX 8350 with an asus m5a97 r2.0 work fine at stock speeds? I plan to game a lot and was wondering how this motherboard will fare with the CPU.

What do you mean will it work at stock speeds? It will work at stock speeds and underclocked and overclocked speeds.

I asked if it will work at stock speeds because I have searched around and can only find people asking about overclocking the CPU on the motherboard, but nothing about it's performance at stock speeds on the motherboard.

It will run at it's rated speed as long as you do not change the clock speed.
