Question about CPU Cache Drive

Windows 7-64 Ultimate. Our last so-called IT guy (we don't even have one now...) installed a solid-state CPU Cache Drive on my work-station. I have no idea how to use/configure/anything it. When I look in My Computer it appears there with it's own drive letter...always indicating 111gb, 111gb free. It was put in several months ago, and I assume that it's supposed to speed up system access. I've never observed anything different about performance, though. What am I missing?

Oh...it's a Gigabyte mother-board and when watching him install the little drive I saw that it went into a special socket below the CPU.

Thanks for any information.

Solution
From your description, it would seem to be a 120GB mSATA drive. That was never configured to do anything.

If your system is running fine, and you have no problems with it....I'd just leave it.
