question about cpu z

pentium g850 2.90 core speed

cpu z is showing core speed : 1595.62 mhz

is something wrong ? or is it the same as ram , which is half ?

Intel Speed Step.
It lowers the processor frequency when you are not doing much to save energy and lower idle temperatures.
Once you load up a demanding task such as gaming or decoding prime95 etc.... it will jump back up to its rated speed.
To test download Prime 95 and start it running, then open CPU-Z and it should show your processors top speed.
Normally OS controls the core speed of your CPU. Open internet browser or such aside from the CPU-Z program and see if the speed jumps up when you are using the CPU.

If not, then check, if you're running Windows, under Control panel > Power Options > Power plan settings > Advanced > Processor power m... > Maximum state is set to 100%

well when i browser or watching youtube , i noticed it jump up to 28 something but its so fast that its only a second of second , i also checked the maximum state and it is set to 100 % while the minimum is 5%

so ?
