Question Question about damaged voltage controller IC

hi guys i want to know what happen if the voltage controller "ncp4206" is damaged ?? or what is the Syndrome of damaging this IC ?? does the card power on or no ?? the card is msi gtx 770 twin frozr .
And how can i know and confirm that the gpu is dead ?!?!

First of all, why do you ask? What did you do to the card that you suspect it's damaged?

But to answer, the first is to inspect it visually and make sure it's not, quite literally, burned or with visual damage. After that, you need to run the card and see. Personally, I don't know what will happen with the card if the voltage controller is damaged, other than it won't be able to use different voltages than a fixed value, if at all.

Look dear i have plug a 12v to the 4 pin fan connector + in the tachometer pin and - to the gnd !!! After that the g.c have no signal and his fans run at high speed . I want to know wich components may be damaged .

From that pic, I see nothing explicitly damaged; what about the other side? Anything looks weird?

And if you screwed the FAN control, well, you can still use the Motherboard connector and control it from there, I guess.
