Question about DDR4 Frequency OC.

I recently set my ddr4 ram to 2933mhz. At first the mobo established a voltage of 1.35v, but I tried lowering it to 1.25 and the system boots fine. I have not performed a memtest yet. Is what I did a bad practice?

it is fine .
in fact for ddr4 lower you can get without any stability issues or crushes the better .

You need to run memtest to make sure the memory is stable at that voltage. If it's not then increase it to 1.3 and run it again.
