Question about downloading WOW

Hello.
I am new here and not sure this is the place to ask. I have been trying to download WOW for about 5 days now and I know it is a big download. The problem is that it seems to be taking longer than needed. I started at 53 gig and after 5 days, 47.5 gigs to go. I am getting frustrated because other games this big do not seem to take this amount of time. I use Steam and Origin and big games like this take at most 2 or 3 days. I am not sure if this is suppose to take this long or not. I have Verizon DSL and know it is not as fast as others, but this seems excessively slow. Can any let me know if i am wrong or is it just on Blizzard's end? Thanks.

Do you have a data cap on your DSL subscription?

No. At least, there should not be. As I said, this is the only download that has ever done this. For example, a few weeks ago, I downloaded Wolfenstien New Order, which is about 50gigs from Steam and it took 2 days, which is what I was expecting.

Check to see if there is download limit set, in the blizzard app settings.

I have it set to unlimited, so that is not an issue. It seems more like a firewall issue or something like that because of the extreme slowness and such, but I have the programs set to be allowed through the firewall. It is very weird. Also, not sure this is related, but battle.net keeps disconnecting me, which seems to cause a huge slowdown. It never completely stops, but something is wrong. Just can not figure out if I can fix it or just be patient for the game to download in about a month.

Have you maybe tried shutting down your router for a minute or 2, and turning it back on? DSL, in my experience, needed to be reset every so often, to work optimally. Run a speedtest check, to see if you are getting your rated speed, as well. You may have to contact your ISP to fix the issue, if your connection speed is nowhere close to advertised specs. http://www.speedtest.net/

I have turned off my router and even tried another one. Speedtest is fine and as I said, it is just WOW that is the issue. I have downloaded other games with no problems, but for some reason WOW and Battle.net are the issues. Even Hearthstone, which I recently re downloaded was perfectly fine download time.
