Question about drivers.

I upgraded from an ASUS LGA1150 motherboard to an MSI Z170A Gaming m5 motherboard (LGA1151), but kept the same hard drive. Is it okay for me to uninstall all of the ASUS drivers?

Yes uninstall all the drivers you can coresponding to your old motherboard (usually Audio, LAN, Wireless, Chipset, and Video) and then restart and install all the proper drivers

Some of the old drivers that i tried to uninstall would just freeze during uninstallation or nothing would pop up. What do you recommend i do about those?

Try booting into safe mode and uninstalling from there.
