Ok. So in Myst you can't die and you can't do anything wrong until the
very end.
In Riven there's one place you can die early in the game but otherwise
you can't make a mistake until the end.
In Myst III, if I recall correctly, you can't die or do anything stupid
to end the game early -until the end.
In Myst IV I *thought* I'd died early on but then found out that was
just part of the game and I was just a bit stunned but not dead. But now
ever since that I'm a nervous wreck playing this game! 😉 I'm not
sitting back and relaxing or enjoying the game much. I'm actually a bit
jumpy waiting for the next catastrophy or wrong move I make (even though
it turned out I hadn't made a wrong move). I'll admit the chanting music
hasn't helped me to relax either
So for those of you who've finished Myst IV, is it possible to make a
wrong move and get killed or end the game early in Myst IV, or like most
Myst games, is the only time you're in danger at the very end of the
game when there's some final decision or choice to make? I just want to
know if I can RELAX again while playing this! (and is something else
going to make me jump like that first "natural disaster" did?)
-Please don't go into any detail, I'd like as little of the game spoiled
as possible. Again, I'm just wondering if I can relax again while
playing this or not. The "T"/"Mild Violence" rating makes me wonder. I
miss the tranquil relaxed atmospheres of the first two games. 🙁
Thanks,
-Melissa
