Question about External GPUs.

It uses a pcie x1 interface and is designed for low power draw peripherals, plus a laptop is unlikely to have a pcie slot. Lots of reasons. Look at the buyer questions on product page. If your laptop has a thunderbolt port you may be able to use an egpu but it's still v new and experimental technology.
 


IIRC the laptop has an MPCIE port, usually ocupied by a wireless card, but i believe the laptop has 2 MPCIE ports (ill check), so there is the port solution. The low power i understand, but i would believe it would get most of its power from the EGPU dock itself, using the other powersupply?
