[SOLVED] Question about free video editors

Hello, I haven't done any video editing since high school, but I will need to here soon. I have an old version of Adobe Premiere Pro. (CS3 specifically) Its been awhile but I would say that I do remember enough to have a baseline understanding of how to use it. But I also notice that there is a number of totally free options out there now. My question is, would it make more sense to use one of these free newer options then the older version of Premiere Pro that I have? Would they have passed it by in terms of quality by now? I have no problem trying to figure out a new program if it's a better choice. And if so, which free one would you recommend? Thanks!

Yes. CS3 is well outdated. Good product when it was new, but the newer tools bring more features.

Well that was fast, thanks for the reply. That's kind of what I figured, that even the free tools had passed it by. I haven't been keeping up on this stuff obviously. I'll look at those two, thanks!
