Question Question about GPU+PSU compatibility

May 17, 2020
Hi, I ran into another thread linked here that was solved by @Phaaze88 that mentioned an incompatibility between the GPU and the PSU sockets. I feel like I might have the same issue, but I'd love to hear more thoughts since I'm not too sure I fully understand what's being said.

I recently built my first PC with a Ryzen 7 3700x and a MSI RTX 2080 SUPER Gaming X Trio, and I feel like I'm not getting as much FPS as I should be. I have about 60 FPS in GTA V in 1440p all high settings. NZXT CAM is showing 0-2% GPU usage, and like 20% CPU usage. My PSU is the Gigabyte G750H.

I also get identical FPS in CS:GO/Valorant in both 1080p and 1440p, and it's not as high as it should be. I get like 220 FPS on average in CS:GO in 1080p (it's the same in 1440p).

Is it possible that I could improve my GPU's performance by getting a better PSU? Thanks so much!
