So ive read up on this for the last few hours and i cant seem to get a clear response as to what one is actually better for gaming, one site did say yellow because the input is a little faster

but most sites just say "green is loud" "orange not so loud" "yellow is basically silent" trying to order my new keybaord wanna know the actual difference before i shell out an extra 40-60$ for yellow switches since i guess it requires that much more labor to do yellow keys instead of standard green

If you want a fast response without having to push down much, the MX Silent are good, Kailh Speed Silver and Optical Red are also up there with a quick reaction and smooth fast key action. You won't really be able to know what you will like...

Don't get a Razer keyboard their QC is abysmal and they're overpriced would be my advice.

yeah at this point im just trying to figure out what switches are the best/fastest based on brand

razer goes from red-orange-green

then theres the cherry mx red / brown / blue

those are the only ones i know about so im just trying to figure out what switch is best/fastest response time for gaming i guess,

i was gonna get either the huntsman because its on sale or huntsman tournament edition

what brand keyboard would you recommend i was only gonna go with razer cause i have a razer mouse really...

Also do you know out of all the key switches would be the fastest/most responsive?

this is mostly for FPS what would i look for specifically in a keyboard if its mainly for FPS? certain key switches? or other specs?

ok so ive think ive settled on MX speed / MX silver now to just find keyboards that have them any help there? even when i type in google "gaming keyboards using MX silver/speed" everything but those keyboards come up

what do you guys think the fastest switch is? ive heard MX silver/speed is great

omnipoint seems to be #1

razer one seem ok

romger G seems ok as well

You won't really be able to know what you will like till you try it. There is a reason that there is a big community around keyboards, probably more so than any other computer part as far as differences and being able to customize it. Many people that start looking at keyboards end up buying/trading/collecting several of them. I'm probably at a dozen I owned in the last few years and currently own 6 different mechanical ones and a higher end dome switch keyboard, although I really have 2 or 3 I use often at a time, others end up with my kids or my wife.
