I know that Haswell will inherently run hot, but something does not seem right about the 4670k I am using now.
I have the 4670k running at 4.2ghz using a little under 1.2v, probably like 1.185 I think I had it set, but I have the power saving features enabled so it will be like 800mhz and run at really low voltage(under .500v for example). So why is my processor still idling at mid 30's even when it's so low voltage wise? Is this normal with haswell chips? I didn't know they ran this hot even when idling.
While it's not a huge deal, it's rather crazy to be that hot idle at such a low voltage.
On prime95 I'm getting about 68-72c, which does seem normal since these chips run hotter. Looks like I didn't get a good chip at all.
