Will everybody start making fun of me and my computer if I dont upgrade to haswell?

My specs:
CPU: Intel core i5 3470 @ 3.2Ghz
GPU: GT 640 2GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77MX-D3H TH
HDD: 3TB Seagate
RAM: Kingston Hyper X Genisis 8GB

I Know it really sucks 🙁
is there any hope for my pc?

Solution
That does not in any way suck (except maybe the GPU). I wouldn't recommend anything more powerful than that CPU unless you wanted to OC anyway.

Get yourself a 7870 XT or something though, and ignore Haswell.

I don't think it's quite 25% clock for clock - more like 15% by memory.

Haswell may be 25% faster clock for clock, less in most applications, including games, Haswell will be more energy efficient, but not shockingly so, especially considering modern CPUs are pretty much very near idle 90% of the time. You'd be spending at least $300 on a Haswell CPU and the new motherboard it requires, in my opinion that's not worth it. If you are a gamer upgrade your GPU instead, if you're not a gamer then just hold on to the money.
