My main question is, is there a difference between Intel HD graphics and Intel HD graphics 3000?

Second question is, if I uninstall Intel HD graphics can I then install Intel HD graphics 3000?

Solution
I didn't want to be the one to tell you that it can't be done. LOL But it's better that you know and not go waste a bunch of money on something that can't be used.

And yeah, a laptop pretty much is what it is when you buy it. You can upgrade the hard drive and RAM. That's about it. A desktop is MUCH more flexible.
Okay, So now my main question can anyone help with that. The reason i ask is because I want to play guild wars 2. Now everything passes on Can you RUN it except Graphics card which is weird because one of the minimum is Intel HD 3000 and I have Intel HD..so does it not pass because my dedicated V-RAM is 64MB even though I have freaking 1200 something?

I have no idea is that internal or external? Also still would like some help regarding my main question.

intel hd graphics is the feature-crippled version of the hd2000, which is in turn, the feature-limited version of hd3000. iirc hd2000 igpu had quite low hardware for gaming. as of now, it's 3 years old. the reason your video memory shows 64MB may be because of intel's dvmt feature which dynamically changes video memory size to cope with workload.

So there is not a difference between Intel HD and Intel HD 3000?

just post your pc specifications. if you don't know how, try running piriform's speccy software and post the summary list.
what main question?

intel hd has less than half of performance than hd3000, which itself is very low performing.

Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU P6100 @ 2.00GHz CPU
CPU Speed 2.0 GHz
RAM 3.0 GB
OS Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Video Card Intel(R) HD Graphics
Pixel Shader version 4.0
Vertex Shader version 4.0
Dedicated Video RAM 64 MB
Disk Space 203.0 GB

my specs. If you need more I can get them.
Like I said I am trying to see if I could run GW2..even on low.

Yes. Big differences. The graphics are built into the processor, and your motherboard (and the chipset on it) have to be compatible as well. There are only two ways to upgrade your graphics:

1. Buy another motherboard and CPU with better on-board graphics

2. Install a discreet graphics card. (Your motherboard has to have the proper slots, e.g. PCI-e, to do this)

Huh well I don't have the money to do that.

Though this is what Speccy says about my PCI
Also do you think I would be able to run Guild Wars 2 at least on low settings?

So is that internal or would it be siting on the outside of my laptop?

I am also guessing by your other statement that I will not be able to run GW2 with my Intel HD graphics.

my bad, i didnt check out your cpu specs first. pentium usually gets put in laptops that lacks the capability of upgrading to discreet gfx. you're gonna have to see for yourself if you can run gw2 because most laptops lack upgradable gfx and i doubt yours do.

Yeah sorry should have said that. I have read that it can almost not be upgraded because it is part of the motherboard. Though this was my first PC and I let Best Buy talk me into it. Will not do that again. Though I should have said I wanted to play games on it..though I didn't want to spend a lot..even though I did spend 400.00 Dollars on this Asus k52f laptop.

Yeah it is okay. It would seem many people have said I wont be able to play GW2..oh well. Yeah next time I have the money for a computer..it will probably be a desktop. Thanks guys.
