[SOLVED] question about media converters

About a RJ45 to BNC 10Base-2/T Converter , we want to use this converter for a gas chromatography instrument in our lab, the device sends and receives data from a PC. Does this converter support our need for this instrument? (because the typical converters that are generally used for cctv cameras do not work for us)
