I'm looking to add another 8gb to my build, and I know ideally you want to match your RAM, but sadly I'm unable to do so.
Last year I bought a custom configured pc from cyberpower (I know that word's the devil on these forums, but they had a deal that ended up being significantly cheaper than building my own)
Anyway, the RAM that came with my system seems to be something of an obscurity that I can't find a matching set anywhere: gskill 8gb ripjaw f3-14900cl9-4gbxl
I was looking at adding this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428 but I'm concerned about the timings being different. my current ram is 11-11-11-28 whereas the newegg ram is 9-9-9-24
Would there be any significant complications by mixing kits?
BONUS QUESTION: Is there a way to disable Tomshardware from giving me a giant "DON'T TYPE IN SHORTHAND" warning every time I go to a different tab and come back? It's annoying having to wait just to see my text again ha. Anyway, I appreciate the help!
