Question about monitor sizes

i'm about to buy a 27 inch monitor, but the demensions for the box is 7.5 x 25.7 x 19.3 inches

how does that even work? it's prob 25 inch monitor? or am i doing something wrong?

19.3 x 25.7 = 32" diagonal.

monitors are measured diagonal as well. you are buying a 27" diagonal monitor. not a 27" wide monitor.
