Question about monitors

Hey all just had a quick question

I have been looking for a new monitor for my desktop that I recently got (i7/6gig ram/geforce 260 core 216)

I was looking for a range between 22-24 inch

Now I can get a 22 inch Dell 2209WA which uses e-ips the thing is this monitor has a max resolution of 1680 x 1050

for about $250 canadian.

I was looking for a monitor that can go up to 1920x1080 but for my price range (max $300 canadian) I can get 22/24 inch monitors that have TN displays.

I will be using this computer about (40% for programming/general use), (40% gaming) (20% watching movies)

So I was wondering what do you all recommend and if you know of a good 22/24 inch monitor that may be better please list them.

My main issue is will there be a huge difference between 1680x1050 IPS panel vs 1920x1080 TN panel

Personally, I'd go for the IPS every time. I'm picky about image quality though.
