Question about motherboards and cpu coolers

when i see people bulid computers they sometimes flip the motherboard and screw something in what is it? (assuming its the fan) do i have to do this with the amd stock wraith cooler and if i do can someone link a tutorial or manual i lost mine

AM2, AM3, and AM3+ all use the same bracket and have for years.
The thing you are referring to is a Back Plate, and no, i do not believe the Wraith requires an aftermarket back-plate (most AMD coolers don't)

It should be realitively simple, its just a retention bracket that holds it down - no screws required at all.

Absolutely, apologies for not including FM1, FM2, and FM2+ in my list.

They are all the same when it comes to the mounting solution, even if they are slightly different.
