Question about multi monitor displays

Hi,
I have an hdmi monitor, a dvi monitor, and a vga monitor. If i plugged the hdmi and dvi monitors into the gpu and plugged the vga into the motherboard would i be able to run my games on the dvi and hdmi monitors and do things like watching netflix or using chrome on the vga?

Possible, but mixing GPU makers can some times cause issues. If it doesn't work, just plug all three into the GPU

that would be fine except the gpu that I'm going to get (the GTX 1070) doesn't have a VGA port. I guess i'll just test it out for myself

Just get a DP to VGA adapter, they can be found for ~$20 at most. Hell, I'm sure some 1070 models will include one!

Depending on the motherboard some of them turn off the IGP when a dedicated card is plugged in. Adapter is the better route to go.
