Hey all,
I recently read a lot about how to make a good pc and I just need a confirmation.
I will put the amd 1920x cpu and I am thinking to put this mobo: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X399-DESIGNARE-EX-rev-10#kf
I will also buy this adapter for nvme https://www.amazon.com/Asus-Hyper-M-2-x16-Card/dp/B0753JTJTG and make it run with raid 10.

so my question is this. the 4 nvme that I will put will run with the 32gb/s each or all 4 will run with total of 32 gb/s meaning 8gb/s each.
If I understood correct each nvme will need 4 lanes from the cpu so if that's correct each nvme should run with 32gb/s

You may need a BIOS update to support spitting the X16 lanes into 4 X4 PCI-E lanes with your chip. Once you are able to do this you need to download AMDs program that will allow you to boot to it if you plan on installing operating system on it. Only problem with such a setup is latency performance is quite lackluster with AMD processors with this kind of setup. Intel much better in this regard. Even Intel processors can fall a little flat though with 4 drives RAID 0. That is with VROC. My Z390 chipset mother board with 3 drives attached to CPU PCI-E X16 lanes does excellent in this regard but I lose the ability to use a discrete video card. so everything has it's gotchya's. My motherboard does not have VROC capability but does support splitting the PCI-E lanes 3 way allowing for 3 drives. I can also boot to it.

It will run a 128Gb/s with 4 drives. Note this motherboard already has 3 M.2 connections that go direct to CPU.
