Question about mushkin memory

Hi guys ..

I'm about to buy a new memory because my old one is dead and I thought about Mushkin .. I have e4500 (yeah I know it's old) that oc'ed from 2.2 to 2.93. Is Mushkin DDR2 2GB 800Mhz 4-4-4-12 is a good choice ? I'm not that familiar with this company but I heard their name before .. Would it handle my oc ?..

Yes. It is a great brand for RAM's. Its my second choice after GSkill. No problems. Just make sure after-sales support in your area is good. They OC well to.

Is the memory module that died also DDR2 & 800Mhz? The other question: is Mushkin on the Qualified vendors list for your motherboard? If the answers to these questions are 'yes' then you are good to go! Otherwise you need to do some more research!

Damn it's not on the Qualified vendors list of my motherboard .. What to do ?..

The "LIST" is only the items that the mobo folks did test mostly any ram that matches the mobo's electrical needs will work, a good store will accept returns for replacement if needful, varies from place to place tho...

Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 Rev 3.3 Bios version (if it helps) F14 (the newest)

Its highly surprising that Gigabyte wont support Mushkin RAM's. Do one thing... mail them the RAM you want to buy and ask if it would support. Get the story straight from the horses mouth.
