[SOLVED] question about my mouse clicker

i removed my mouse pad, and my desk has a nice wood finish, in any event, i noticed when i dont use my mouse pad i start to see scratches underneath where the mouse clicker sits. i mean it happens within one or two months this starts to happen. i just wanna make sure is it the mouse clicker creating the scratches or is it possibly something else? im worried

When you say "mouse clicker" are you just talking about the mouse? Is it scratches or light blotchy marks? I have seen the sensor cause issues on some surfaces where it actually changes the colors, but usually on fake wood surfaces where the light from the sensor affects the color print and it looks like lighter areas on the surface.

Does your mouse have an on-off switch on the bottom? That would be a more likely suspect, especially if your mouse's glide pads are worn down.

If you are worried about scratches to the desk, use a mouse pad. If you want to see the desk wood, they make clear ones.
