Question about my PSU

I currently I have a Corsair CX 600W PSU, but I'm hearing it's not so great for rigs with dedicated gaming GPU. I plan on getting a R9 390 soon so should I consider upgrading my PSU? :/

Yes, that psu might work for awhile but I wouldn't use it as a long term solution. Currently you can get a 750w EVGA B2 at NCIX for $45 after MIR, its more than enough and much better quality.
