Question about new CPU/Heatstink/Mobo compatability

I currently have an ASRock Fatal1ty Z97 Killer LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard and am running an i5 4460 CPU in a HAF 922 case. I might be wanting to upgrade to an i7 4790k with a 212 EVO( I wont be overclocking more than likely). I have a couple questions before I do it though.

1) is it a bad idea to use the same motherboard and just put in a new CPU(I don't want to run into any problems)
2)will the evo 212 fit my MOBO(I am using all 4 RAM slots)?

It shouldn't be a problem to use same mobo I did bit I'm not sure if it will fit do some research? And Sorry I coulnt help I further
