Question About New SSD

So, I just got a new SSD in the mail today, sealed in the box and everything. No it's not the best SSD in the world, but it will work for my applications. But I do have a bit of a concern about it.

After installing windows and everything, I did a few CrystalDiskMark benches, probably more than I should have. (The reason I did this was because I was getting some very strange and inconsistent benches.) But there is no way that I could have possibly done this, could I?

18212 GB of Reads and 12530 GB of Writes...with only 8 power on cycles and two hours of power on use as reported by SMART.

After a year and numerous windows installations (W10 Insider previews every couple of weeks) I have only double that many writes.

Something is not right.
This is a 6 year old drive. Used to be my boot drive, now just a secondary:
