Question About Onboard Audio

Hello,

Just a question of curiosity. Do the majority of motherboards have the same onboard audio?
Also, what does Optical S/PDIF OUT mean?

There are a number of different audio codecs (onboard audio) available, look at mobo specs to see which one they have. The mobo you listed has a Realtek ALC892 Codec, which I believe is one of their lower end codes (but I don't know how much difference it really makes).

S/PDIF is an digital audio output.
