Sorry if this has been asked already, how much difference does it make to OC my CPU to something like 4.4GHz? I mainly play CPU intensive games.

My current setup:
-i7 3770K @ 3,5GHz w/ stock cooler
-2x HyperX 8GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz
-GTX 970 ASUS STRIX

I am new to overclocking and that's why I am asking this, is it worth to buy a better cooler and OC?

Will I need to increase voltage? If so, by how much? Any assistance is appreciated ^^

Solution
Your current processor can easily overclock beyond Haswell performance levels, which is the advantage of overclocking. You will have to bump your Vcore a bit, but Ivy Bridge processors overclock well and you will have the advantages of slightly better FPS in all games. For overclocking you will need a better cooler, stock cooling is not good enough for overclocking.
