Hello
In fact, my PC already has a built-in internal DVD drive but it
has been used for many years and many time it generates loud noise, a little bit like clicking noise, but it works. I'd like to know, if it could make any scratch or hit on the surface of the DVD disc? Somebody say a DVD drive
never physically touches a disc because they use laser or light to read the discs. Is that true?
DVD drive is cheap, not my concern. My DVD discs are mostly valuable. I don't know if I put my discs on old working drive, will it cause any possible scratches on the reading side of the disc?
If I purchase a portable DVD connected with USB port because I don't want to go through the messy installation. Will it a problem if I accidentally move the drive a little bit when it is working? Could it damage the drive or the disc?
