Question about power connectors on my motherboard

Hi guys,

So I'm almost finish with my first build and im pretty sure about this question, however I want to be 100% sure so here it is.

The motherboard I have is a MSI Z170A xpower gaming titanium edition. It has a 8 a 6 and a 4 power connector.

My PSU is a EVGA 850 g2 and it has two cpu connectors witch are 2 4+4 pin

It's not necessary to have all my cpu connections filled on my motherboard right?

You'll want the 8 and could go ahead and use the 4 if you want though not needed. The 6Pin, I believe is additional power for multiple GPUs (i.e. for heavy duty OCing)

Tradesman1 is correct. 8 pin is CPU, the 2x4 pins are also CPU connectors and the 6 pin is for GPU.
