Question about Powersupply for the GTX 260 Core 216

Alright. I got a few questions.

Firstly, Should i buy a GTX 260 Core 216 EVGA [ its 184.99 - 30 $ rebate so = $154.99 on Newegg]

4870 XFX 1 GB is 150 bucs on newegg so they are essentially the same price.

The next questions is.. will my power supply be sufficient in handling everything.

Specs..
Intel E4500 2.2 Ghz (will OC to 3.0Ghz+)
Gskill 4 GB 2x2GB 1066 5-5-5-15
Gigabyte P35-DS3L Motherboard
250 gig sata 2 hard drive WD

After looking at the actual powersupply and the text on it, i THINK it has +12V @ 25 Amps.

Would that cause me problems?

A good quality 500 watt psu would work, Logysis is not in that category.

and what about the choice between 4870 and 260 core 216?

GTX260 and 4870 are both good and comparably performing cards. They each require a psu with two 6 pin pci-e connectors. Your psu as none.
It is possible to use adapters which might come with the vga card. But--- if the psu does not have the pcie connectors, it likely does not have the power to use the adapters either.

Look for a quality psu. Good units come from corsair, PC P&C, antec, and seasonic. There are others. A budget psu is asking for trouble.

You will have to spend $80-$100 for a good unit like this corsair 650tx:
