Question about Pre-built system warranties

I have a general question about warranties covering pre-built computers. I have built two gaming PCs on my own over the last four years. I am planning to open a drone start up business in my area in the near future. Because this business may keep me busy, I may not have as much time to build another DIY gaming PC and repair or replace faulty components. I may therefore look at a pre-built system such as a Dell or HP desktop computer for both gaming and 4K drone video editing. Now, unless mother nature sends a lightning bolt through the electrical system in my home and overwhelms the surge protector or a faulty hardware component costs a ridiculous amount of money to repair replace, I am looking at replacing my current build the next 18 months to 2.5 years. If I get a pre-built desktop computer and wanted to add a dedicated GPU, an internal sound card, or A USB expansion card, replace the memory sticks or, if necessary, install a more powerful power supply unit, would these void the computer manufacturer warranties? Thanks.

For the most part no, unless a manufacturer specifically states in their warranty that opening up the PC means you will void the warranty. I ran into that issue wanting to install a larger hard drive in my laptop. If you build your own PC then you would not run into this problem. Most manufacturers make it so you can't upgrade a part like that because they use proprietary form factors. The thing is it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. I would double check the warranty to make sure that sort of thing is allowed or not.
