My sons computer currently has an AMD FX-4300 processor. I recently got a AMD FX-6300 processor very cheap(brand new). I was going to re-sell it to make some money. But I was wondering if I put that processor in my sons computer how much of a difference he would notice in performance. He mostly games on his computer, but he doesnt play anything thats real graphics intensive. Mostly MMOs and such.

He has a MSI 760GMA-P34 motherboard.
(yeah, I know)

Thanks!

Upgrading to an AMD FX-6300 from an FX-4300 will barely increase the performance of your son's computer. The single core and overall performance is about the same, and the performance difference would not be noticeable. I think reselling that FX-6300 is a better idea. 😀
