I saw the MSI MAG A850GL PCIE5 fully modular psu, and it is priced at a fairly low 89.99 at us.msi.com. I don't know if it can support my system as my friend says it is too weak for the RX7900XTX. Can you guys confirm this, and should i get this psu? I also have an option of the 4070 Ti SUPER; can you confirm if it works with my build (if i replace the rx7900xtx due to financial reasons)?

NVIDIA recommends you get at least a 650 watt power supply for the 4070 Ti Super. You should be off to the races with an 850 watt unit. Even paring the 4070 Ti Super with something as power hungry as the 14900K, you would still top out around 650 watts of total load.

No, it is of lesser quality and only carries a 5 year warranty.
Alright, thanks very much!

Can you check my build on pcpartpicker and verify that it is good enough? my budget is 2000, and im waiting on discounts at this point.

Also, if the MSI MAG A850GL PCIe5 PSU is good enough for my build, i will buy it to lock in the low price. Is this ok?

Edit: My friend claims that the PCIe power ports on the psu are daisy chained and cannot support the rx7900xtx. can you verify this?

I believe your friend is mistaken. This PSU will meet your needs.

Thanks a lot!
You are welcome. That is also an ATX 3.0 PSU, the current standard. For the budget you stated earlier, it is a decent choice. Game on!

BTW, how close are you to a Micro Center? You can often get great combo deals from them.

Fairly close, thats where im getting cpu mb and ram. The bundle i want isnt in stock, however. onceit is,is it possible that the price will drop?
Do you think the prices for the rx7900xtx will drop anytime soon?
Also, I may have misunderstood my friend. He says the GPUPCIe cables are daisychained and you cannot change the psu cables. He said it says that on the website. Is this true?
And does the 7800x3d need all eps cables or only the single 4+4 one?

if you go to there, (i bought it from there at $89.99) and if you scroll down, it states that it comes with 4 pcie cables. Therefire, i believe my friend has made a misunderstanding, no?
