I bought a 1life ps:jet 700w 140mm which as advertised comes with 2 6 pins pcie but also comes with 2 extra pins for each 6 pins meaning i can transform into 2 8 pin but no where on product information it says so my question is can those extra pins that can be attached to the 6 pins be used as 8 pins pcie?

Solution
What it depends on if you need to use or add the two extra pins provided is the shape of the plastic housing or plug the two pins are fitted too.

If you look at the end closely you will see the molld for the end is either square or round for each pin.

And the block it connects to on your motherboard, or Pci-e graphics card voltage connector block.

It`s called keyed so there in no possible chance for example plugging a power based connector block the wrong way round if any voltage is carried.
