Question about PSU pins

Hi, my old Chieftec 600W PSU has 2x 6pin PCIE. My MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X has one 8pin. The only cable I have is 8pin to 6pin and I'm using it right now.

Could this would be the reason why my PC always restarting while playing games? Kernel power 41 error.

Both ends must be 8pin?

Yes more than likely it is a power issue. Get a reliable PSU with the right PCIE cable for your card.

Hello again. Finally my PSU arrived (I bought EVGA G2 because G3 was out of stock) and results are very bad.

I added PSU plugged all cables and.. PC won't turn on.

Checked everything. Nothing. Tried old PSU. PC turns on.

Then I checked PSU like in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixcWCrYpw3Y
I heard strange clicks then fan spins a few seconds and stops. Is it defective?
