Hey guys,
Finally getting around to upgrading my aging PC. Wife bought me a 6800 XT for Xmas and I know it needs THREE 8-pin connectors to power it. My PSU currently only has 2 and I'll need to upgrade. I'm trying to spend around $100 and I just want to be sure that the PSU I buy has enough space for THREE 8-pin connectors. Lots of PSU's I see have 3 on their modular design, but isn't one of the dedicated for the CPU? That would leave only 2 and a whole bunch of 6-pin connector slots.
I know the eVGA SuperNova GA 750w and the Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 850w are viable options, but both a little over $100. Any PSU's out there now that are less than $100 that will power this card?
Thanks for taking the time to help!!!!
