Question Question about RAID setup

If I have RAID already configured in UEFI do I need to also specify that in Windows disk manager when I am creating a partition?

A motherboard RAID (not recommended, IMO) should show up as a single volume to Windows.

It does, but when I right click in disk management to select a simple volume it gives me the option of stripped, which is what my raid is in my uefi. Should I select that or go with simple volume?

What drives, what type RAID array, and most importantly....why RAID?
