sigh, i wish i could drop a faster ram in there, but its not worth the cash at the risk of this thing not accepting it.

You can probally use PC2700 or even PC3200, but the system will default the RAM speed to PC2100. System instability could occur using RAM other than PC2100, so I would stick with PC2100.
