Question about ram for my Abit NI8 mother board

I just got my mother board and was wondering if i can mismatch the ram

i just brought both of these can i set both these up on the mother board?

Those both are dc kits, aren't they?

You can use different DDR2 rams on the same mobo, you just can't run them in dual-channel.

wow.... what you're proposing is completely pointless.... not only will the 2 512MB DDR2-800 sticks slow down to 667 speeds, but the configuration you suggeested won't run in dual channel either.

So here's my idea.... scrap your idea for both those types of ram and get some OCZ Gold 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2-800
