now that windows 10 is here I'm not sure if I should switch to it from win 7 or not.my main question is ram wise...if I do go for win 10 I'd go for the 64-bit version so I'm curious how much more ram does win 10 64-bit use comparing to win 7 64-bit?

my specs are: i5 4440 3.1 GhZ...8gb ram dd3...radeon 7770....1TB hdd

would I benefit from the change to the new os or there isn't much difference as it is??

[strike]Well, here's the thing. If you're currently using a 32-bit Windows, then you've been limiting your system. 32-bit systems only make use of up to 4GB of RAM. That means the 8GB you currently have is being wasted. Switching to 64-bit will let you use the full 8GB.
[/strike]
EDIT:

Pft, I'm sorry. I totally misread the question. You're totally fine. Doesn't really make use of all that much more RAM. I'm using 8GB myself, switched from 7 to 10. No noticeable dip in performance.
