Solution
Oh what you're seeing is maximum refresh at maximum resolution.

7680 x 4320 @ 60Hz

Microcenter like any other store, when employees enter details about a product, sometimes they don't follow a standard format. Look at this card,

https://www.microcenter.com/product/513367/black-gaming-geforce-rtx-2070-dual-fan-8gb-gddr6-pcie-video-card

Says 240Hz. There's absolutely no way any display connection, neither Hdmi or Displayport that can do 7680 x 4320 at 240Hz. 240Hz only if lower the resolution to 1080p.

2070 should do 144/165Hz @ 1440p...
Where did you get the 60Hz from? Because it's wrong.

The rtx 2070 will produce as many frames as it can, depending on resolution and settings etc. A 1080p 144Hz monitor will be fine with a 2070. At 1440p 144Hz you might be asking too much from it, but you can always turn the settings down a bit.

Might mean video cable/hdmi.

Graphics cards nowadays have Displayport, would use this connection instead for 60+ Hz.

Dvi dual link can do 144Hz.in 1080p

Hdmi can also achieve higher refresh rates depending on the monitor. Some monitors allow higher refresh rates over hdmi but most don't, its upto the monitor manufacturer to allow it.

It says that the rtx 2070 that I want has a maximum refresh rate of 60hz and I don’t understand what that means. If I use a 144hz monitor will it not work? If you want to see for yourself, go to micro center.com and select west bury New York, then search 2070 and select the triple fan, finally look at specs and it will say maximum refresh rate 60hz.
