Question about replacing my power supply?

Im really new to pc building. I have a question about replacing my power supply. I have a dell xps 8700. I want to replace the power supply in order to install a new graphics card. My current power supply is too small. I want to know is that all i really need to do? Do I have to get any more hardware such as a new fan? Im really new to this and it can get a little overwhelming. Thanks in advance

That would depend on how much power the new video card uses, the more power the more heat it puts off meaning you might need to add another fan or upgrade to higher CFM fans to dissipate the added heat.
