question about resolution

is the mothetboard responsable of the resolution or the graphics card i mean if i want to play a game at 1080p can i play it on any mobo and high graphics card or a specific mobo is needed to run games at 1080p?

The gpu is responsible for video output and is the only component that determines resolution limits.

Its the card and the monitor/display that control what resolutions you can get. Unless you are using integrated graphics, then it would be the board/cpu.
