Question about setting up device(s) to a TV and a Monitor

Hello, I have a pc and an Xbox that I want to set up to a monitor for gaming, I also want to set them both up a tv, both through hdmi... Is there anyway possible where I can send the output to both displays? By the way the xbox and pc would sit next to the monitor at a desk which would be about a meter or two from the tv

Are you going to use the same image on both displays or are you trying to expand the image? If the first, then you can use an HDMI splitter. http://www.amazon.com/HDMI-Splitter-Premium-Cable/dp/B000FMJLQC

So you want to extend the desktop to the 2nd screen and do dual monitor gaming? What graphics card do you have in it? If it is a new HD 7xxx or GTX 6xx you will need to use an HDMI cable on the 1st screen and a display port to HDMI adapter on the 2nd screen since almost all GPUs only have one HDMI out.

I'm not trying to do dual monitor gaming but what I want to do is, on the monitor, I want to use it for productivity (gaming, editing, etc.), and then I want to have on the tv where its for media such as movies but if it was one resolution on, say the monitor, wouldn't it not fit the tv screen right?

you want to watch a video on your PC on the TV while surfing the net on the same PC on the other display kind of thing? You still need to extend your desktop. You then drag the window you want to watch the video on into the TV and full screen it. If you only have a single video out on your PC, this adapter will work:

Once they are detected by Windows and both of them are powered on, go to the desktop, right click anywhere, click on "screen resolution" and you will see the 2 monitors. There will be a drop down box, select extend desktop and a second, blank desktop will appear on the other screen. You can also change which one is the primary screen from this menu. It is pretty easy with Windows Vista and up, setting up the hardware is the hardest part.
