If your not a serious gamer, a good option would be to get a socket 939 and get an Asrock Dual mobo, you'll jump ships to a better processor, and the mobo has both AGP and PCI-E slot on it so you can keep your parts and then have the option to upgrade. Board and CPU will cost around $200 at minimum with your choice of CPU changing the cost.

Now the Asrock deserves some credit they make a decent low end board, with average oc ability... you won't set any records but it gives you a low budget upgrade as needed option, my dad is currently building a 939 around that board, he got a 3200+ to keep things cheap.

gotta love the all the upgrade paths they have for us, but how limited the options for each path is, why i gave in and got the X2

why would i "upgrade" to a 3200 from a 3700? socket 754 3700's are minimally slower than 939 3700's due to the dual channel and better memory controller.. and @ madmod, yea but 16x will still be supported, it will be like 4x agp to 8x agp, theyll be backwards compatible so its not realyl a big deal, since cards dotn even use 8x bandwith, 16x wont be used for anothjer 2 years or so IMO
